About Us:
Hello, my name is Kevin James Welsh. I am originally a native of Burlington,
VT. I have been in and out of residential construction my entire life. I started
out as a carpenter’s assistant as a youngster and ultimately over the years
became a general contractor.
I first learned about homebuilding while working with Habitat for Humanity.
Habitat builds a simple yet strong and practical home. I’ve spent 15 years in
aviation, 6 years with GE Aircraft Engine as a field service technician and
aircraft inspector. I have spent the last 6 years with GE in turbine engine
production in RTP.
Working for GE “America’s most admired company” has given me valuable experience
in customer service world wide. Aviation customers such as Boeing are some of
the most discerning customers around. Anything less than perfect quality is
unacceptable. I carry this philosophy into my home construction business.
I take exceptional pride in what I do. It is my passion! I have an “everything
matters” approach to custom home building. I build as if I’m going to live in
the home myself. I exceed customer expectation by asking more of myself than
anyone else would.
I hand pick the best craftsman in the Triangle area. My subcontractors are not
only selected for their exceptional quality but their integrity and ability to
work in a team environment.
Every home I build will be Energy Star certified and above. I feel personally
responsible to be a steward of the environment in implementing green building
practices.
My goal is to build a home using the highest quality materials crafted to
exceptional fit and finish that not only performs well but has a high impact on
appeal and low impact on the environment.
